Batter will stay fresh on ice in a cooler for 3-4 days. Heat up your camp stove and put the batter down directly on a greased griddle or skillet. Spread batter our with a spoon to desired thickness and let cook on one side for 1-2 minutes. Flip and cook until done (1-2 minutes more). Fill with pie filling, lemon curd, cinnamon sugar, lemon juice, powdered sugar, sausage, berries…the options are endless!
We also pre-cooked bacon at home and brought it in a Ziploc in the cooler and then simply reheated it on the camp stove while the crepe was cooking. Leave the mess at home and enjoy delicious breakfast food in the great outdoors!
